In Roatán you can order a custom sand sculpture for a birthday, a proposal, a holiday or a company event: Ronis Villeda shapes it by hand on the beach with names, dates, messages or even a logo. He has been sculpting sand on the island since 2010.
A sand sculpture lives for one day. That is part of its magic: it is made for one moment, one group of people and one photo that nobody else will have.
What can be sculpted?
- Birthdays: a whale, dolphins or sea turtles with the name and the age.
- Proposals and anniversaries: hearts with the names and the date.
- Holidays: Happy New Year, Valentine's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving or a tropical Christmas.
- Company events: the company logo carved in sand, even lit with fire at night.

Who makes them
Ronis started working with the Canadian artist Paul Abel in 2007 and began sculpting sand at the cruise port in Mahogany Bay in 2010. Today he works for resorts and private clients across the island, and with his wife Evlyn he also performs the Roatan Fire Show.
